What does the laboratory do

  • Develop and characterize a new model of psoriatic substitutes using tissue engineering;
  • Carry out the physicochemical characterization of pathological skin substitutes by infrared and Raman spectroscopy;
  • Validate the model of pathological skin substitutes by comparing the skin penetration of lipophilic, hydrophilic and amphiphilic molecules;
  • Study the effects of serum when culturing skin substitutes;
  • Use the pathological properties of psoriatic keratinocytes in the development of a monolayer model of inflammation;
  • Study the antioxidant, toxicological and antiproliferative properties of polyphenolic extracts from Canadian tree bark on normal and psoriatic keratinocytes.

Expertise

  • Tissue engineering
  • Percutaneous absorption
  • Skin disorders
  • IR and NMR spectroscopy
