Annual symposium
Symposium 2021 | Friday 7th may
The 2021 edition of the CERMA Annual Conference took place on May 7 and brought together nearly 80 participants.
The CERMA Annual Conference is organized each year by and for students of the research center so that they can present advances in their research work. Each edition, there are nearly 40 oral and poster presentations which are given in front of an audience of around a hundred people. This is an opportunity for different research groups to discuss scientific questions, to establish new links and to establish new partnerships. The presence of guest speakers from different research centers, Canadian and foreign universities as well as industries in the field of materials makes it possible to promote CERMA’s expertise beyond Laval University.
The 2021 edition included student conferences and poster presentations. The poster session on Zoom was preceded by an “express poster” session during which the students presenting a poster had two minutes to attract the attention of the participants and convince them to discover their work. In addition, a new formula at CERMA, My business in 180 seconds, was set up during this day in order to create links between students and companies and thus network.
