What does the laboratory do
Synthesis of rigid, flexible polymer-hinge type copolymers whose rigid sequences are composed of aramids, amylose, polyethersulfone, polyetherketone or polyethers. Modulation of the size and chemical nature of the flexible segment in order to optimize the crystal morphology. Characterization of crystallization by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Study of the effect of this morphology on the final properties of a material.
Expertise
- Crystallization and orientation of polymers
