CERMA Annual Symposium

Symposium2023 | Thursday March 2, 2023 at the Château Laurier hotel in Old Quebec

Objectives

The CERMA Annual symposium is an activity organized each year by and for the student community of the research center so that they can present advances in their research work. In each edition, there are nearly 40 oral and poster presentations which are given in front of an audience of around a hundred people. This is an opportunity for different research groups to discuss scientific questions, to establish new links and to establish new partnerships. The presence of guest speakers from different research centers, Canadian and foreign universities as well as industries in the field of materials makes it possible to promote CERMA’s expertise beyond Laval University.

Ms. Eugénie Brouillet, Vice-Rector for Research, Creation and Innovation, delivered a brief speech at the start of the conference

In addition to giving a presentation on their organization and on issues related to public and private research, our guests participated in a table where intellectual property, entrepreneurship, research and collaboration were discussed.

Theme: From public to private

The 2023 edition included presentations from the student community, both oral and poster. The conference also included presentations and a round table related to this year’s theme.
