What does the laboratory do

Our group aims to contribute, through innovative approaches, to the development of nanophotonics, by seeking new applications, synthetic protocols and manufacturing methodology based on optical nanomaterials. Our interdisciplinary projects are developed with particular attention to industrial applications and the use of greener protocols and materials. We are interested in explaining matter-light interaction phenomena at the nanoscale for their use in computing and communication, environmental remediation, energy and health.

Expertise

  • Industrial-scale syntheses of inorganic materials
  • Spectroscopy of optical materials
  • Green synthesis of nanomaterials
  • Advanced characterization and manufacturing methods
  • Modeling of phenomena and processes

Service(s) offered in research and development (R&D)

  • “Scale-up” of summaries
  • Consultancy on the optimization and selection of inorganic nanomaterials and their production (chemistry, industrial engineering)
  • Production of optical nanomaterials and nanofabrication methodology
  • Characterization of optical properties
