What does the laboratory do
- Production, preparation and physicochemical characterization of metal nanoparticles and metal oxides.
- Development of multifunctional paramagnetic contrast agents for biomedical imaging: magnetic resonance (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), luminescence.
- Production of biomedical surfaces incorporating magnetic nanoparticles. Study of cellular ingestion, distribution and toxicity phenomena of metal nanoparticles in living organisms.
